Bathtub Yoga

Busy mom: A beautiful woman who is always doing for others and rarely has time for self.

We moms need to take what little time we have extra and utilize it to max capacity. We love long soaks in the tub, relaxing music, candles, wonderful scents and muscle relief.

4:30 came fairly early considering his last wake up was 2am. He fell back to sleep quite easily which left me wide awake. You know what they say.. No good happens after 2. Well, I'm here to prove them wrong!

The highly persuasive Pinterest has been telling women to put epsome salts in your bath once a week so: hot water on then drop a scoop of epsome salt, and 3 drops of lavender. Remove yesterdays make up with a dab of cocunut oil, dry rub whole body with loofah, pull up trickling brook Pandora station and lay down in the HOT water... relax!!

UNTIL YOUR MIND STARTS TO WONDER because your a busy mom. I've found the number 1 way to get thoughts to stop running laps in your mind is to quickly jot them down. I pick up my Galaxy note 3, opstretch!!klist and begin... Wow how does this list even get so long? The last is excersize. Its always last because honestly s if its last that's my excuse not to do it. Then I ask myself, "but isnt that what you want to change most?" I move it to the top of the list then lay back down in the tub to relax.
After relaxing for about 5 minutes I hear a song that reminds me of yoga class. And suddenly I get the fabulous idea to get into Downward Dog pose in the bathtub then arch my back into angry cat. Warm water helps loosen the tight muscles as my body stretches them out. The walls of the tub add stability and  something to push against to really stretch out.  The floor of the tub make for easy gliding, however they also make for a slippery surface so please becareful. I can not be held responsible for accidents.
What a great way to start the day.. A nice clean morning stretch
